I just had a fantastic week on my ZX-10. Did 2250 miles going from Bilbao Spain, to Calais Via the whole length of the Pyrenees and a lot of the Alps.......and Monte Carlo!

Fully loaded with panniers, tailpack and tankbag it's performance was amazing. I love the way this bike snorts and growls!

I've done similar trips a couple of times before on my old ZX-9 and In reckon the 10 was slightly more uncomfortable on the wrists but a lot more comfy on the arse.

If anyone's going to Spain, you have to do the N260 from end to end. It has to be the best kept biking secret in the world.

2 hairy moments. One was the front tucking on a few grains of gravel on a hairpin in the mountains and the other was a car coming the other way round a corner a bit too much on my side who nearly clipped my pannier.....could have been nasty.

Wheelied down every slip road and away from every Peage toll booth.

Self control old boy! Laughing

i've only ever ridden mine with a tank bag on but it seemed quite intrussive. much more so than when the same bag was on the '9. Never had numb bum on the 10 but always got it on the '9 after 120miles or so.

I had to buy Oxford Humpback panniers and tankbag for the 10. The standard Sports panniers and tankbag were way to big for it. The old tailpack still fits ok though.
I certainly feels like you're in the bike not on it when it's all loaded up, you quickly get used to it though. Feels great when you take it off!

The 10's seat is way more comfy than the 9's. It may be to do with a different bit of your arse being on it though.

I think that it obligitory on the continent to do this. I think that it is even the law in France... Laughing Laughing

The Spanish roads should be good, they have been resurfaced with our tax money and are hardly used. Shock
