Do you guys like really, really, stupid ideas? Good...then lets begin.
Take one 9R frame:
The current engine is only a mock-up, although it will do to get the frame straightened and to check if part 1 of this project will fit:
What you see there, ladies and gentlemen, is an eaton supercharger.
The rad will be replaced with an underseat version.
I am currently converting this:
Collection of shiny things, into an ECU...we are going to fuel injection baby.
There is a piece of, erm, private test track near me where the obligatory full power run with ether result in 178 on a stock C, or a safer between junctions (erm, the private road has...junctions) 160. The goal is to move that to 200.
There is much, much more to come. But to stop everyones head exploding at how stupid this is, they will have to wait. _________________ SUN SEEKING MISSILE |

I've spoken to Kawi about his 9, and it has some really nice features...he's not sure of peak bhp, but I think he was a bit suprised at my performance targets...although the majority is down to the bits I've not mentioned.
I am aiming for his wheelie performance though _________________ SUN SEEKING MISSILE |

Progress has been limited to sorting storage in the garage so I can fit, and this weekend make a workbench...which I will be able to practice TIG welding at, so I can make my plenum chamber and all the other bits to fit the intercooler.
Easy to say, but it's taken a lot of work.
I've also been on a nightschool welding course, and last night I started a CAD course, so I can at least draw the other part I need for the project...and the other projects.
Plus my hack as a bit of a problem...which I need to investigate but I think is a head gasket. I'll find out this weekend.
Is that enough excuses? _________________ SUN SEEKING MISSILE |

Just done a leak down test, and the head gasket does look to be knackered...bugger. Oh well... _________________ SUN SEEKING MISSILE |

Yesterday my caliper brackets arrived -I'm going to make a CAD file and have some knocked up to use 9R discs with 7R forks, using the Aprilia/Ducati Brembo calipers.
Even with the caliper bracket weight, the brembos weigh over 400 grams less EACH!
That is just fantastic...better brakes, and less unsprung weight! _________________ SUN SEEKING MISSILE |
