Having had to rebuild my 6 pots on my C1's more often than I care to remember, have found wemoto do an unbadged caliper complete, made by tokico, for £150 per side, complete with pads. They came within 18 hours of ordering them.
Damn fine service, IMHO. |

Hmm a local bike shop should be able to match that with the standard calipers. _________________ SUN SEEKING MISSILE |

He means you can buy brand new calipers for the £150 each, not just a re-build _________________ Ross |

This is one of the problems bike shops have, if you take the time to strip both fronts, rebuild them with new seals, then refit and bleed them till they work correctly, it becomes to expencive, and is cheaper to buy new ones. _________________ zx-9r.net

Anyone used the guy who sells the genuine seals on Ebay? £80ish for a complete set of seals or £170 for a complete rebuild didn't seem too bad. Was going to use him but got a set of calipers with only 11k on for £90. Have the in-need-of service calipers for sale for half that BTW _________________ In theory, practice and theory agree. I've not had to replace any seals for a while, I tend to clean the old ones up, unless there well out of shape or damaged. _________________ zx-9r.net |

So do I.
For the rebuild price, I'd be able to source a new caliper, same brand as OE. _________________ SUN SEEKING MISSILE |
