Hi, my name is Kevin Grant and I am a 31 year old and live in Aberdee. Originally I come from Fife and have just returned from London after spending 7years working down there. I am a structural engineer working for an Offshore Consultant providing general engineering and design services.

I have been into motorbikes since before I can remember. My dad used to ride bikes (back then it was a mode of transport) and my sister married someone who was (at the time) running around on Triumph (the leaky oil type) chops and the like.

My first bike (which I still have) was a 1952 BSA Bantam - PO version. At the time I was 11 and only rode off road. A series of other bikes came and went and mostly, they were Kawa's. This was because at the time, I was working (weekends and school holidays) in a bike shop called Better Bikes. Any one in Fife, Edinburgh or Glasgow remember?????

I never really transferred this love of bikes onto the road (although I did own a Stan Stephens tuned LC375 and a GT750 for a while), because I bought a mini and then was bitten by the car bug. This lasted until I moved down South (about '95). Property prices meant no garage and I then made the move back onto two wheels. First was a '77 KH250 (wish I had never sold it), then a GPZ1100 and then the ZX9. Finally to top them all off, I bought a Yam Diversion 600 - the best bike I ever bought!?!.

Now that I have moved back-up north, my main passion is still bikes - although I am still quite fond of the old yella Mex (and no, it is not for sale!). So, the C1 is currently my pride and joy. I never really liked the C2 graphics as much as the plain C1. As for the E1, again, just not quite hitting the nail on the head. Don't get me wrong, the ZX9 E is still perhalps oe of my favourite looking bikes. The only other current bike that looks good to me is the GSXR range. BUT, now Kawasaki has released the new 2002 model. Finally, something that has got me as interested as the original C1 model. Whatch this space - if there is any cash left after buying a house up here in Aberdeen, I think a new ZX9 could be splattered all over these pages. Only problem is - what do I do with the old trusty C1???
